Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SnapDish, a web application operated at snapdishapp.in. By using SnapDish, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

SnapDish is an AI-powered cooking assistant that analyzes food images to detect ingredients and generate personalized recipes. The service includes features such as recipe generation, cooking mode, recipe history, shopping lists, and dietary preference management.

2. Account & Authentication

  • You must sign in with a valid Google account to use SnapDish.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must not share your account credentials with others.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Scan Credits & Usage

  • Each user receives a limited number of free daily scans.
  • Additional scan credits may be purchased through the app.
  • Scan credits are non-transferable and non-refundable unless required by law.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing and credit allocations at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Upload inappropriate, offensive, or non-food-related images.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the application.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the service.
  • Circumvent scan credit limits or usage restrictions.
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Recipes and ingredient suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated recipes are suggestions only and may not always be accurate.
  • Always verify ingredients if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • SnapDish is not liable for any adverse reactions resulting from following AI-generated recipes.
  • Cooking times and instructions are approximate — use your own judgment.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The SnapDish name, logo, and design are the property of SnapDish.
  • You retain ownership of any images you upload.
  • AI-generated recipes are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

7. Limitation of Liability

SnapDish is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:

  • Inaccurate ingredient detection or recipe suggestions.
  • Allergic reactions or health issues from following recipes.
  • Loss of data stored in browser local storage.
  • Service interruptions or downtime.

8. Privacy

Your use of SnapDish is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of SnapDish after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
