  • Account Information: When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
  • Dietary Preferences: Allergies and dietary preferences you set during onboarding.
  • Food Images: Photos you upload for ingredient detection and recipe generation.

b) Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns via Vercel Analytics.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
  • Cookies & Local Storage: We use local storage to save your preferences, recipe history, and shopping list on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our service, including AI-powered recipe generation.
  • To manage your account and scan credits.
  • To personalize your experience based on dietary preferences.
  • To improve our application through anonymous usage analytics.
  • To communicate important updates about the service.

3. How We Process Your Images

Food images you upload are processed by our AI to detect ingredients and generate recipes. Images are not stored permanently on our servers. They are processed in real-time and discarded after recipe generation is complete.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Authentication: Managed by Supabase with industry-standard encryption and secure JWT tokens.
  • Database: User profiles and credits are stored in Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled.
  • Local Data: Recipe history, saved recipes, shopping lists, and preferences are stored in your browser's local storage — we do not have access to this data.
  • Hosting: Our application is hosted on Vercel with automatic HTTPS/SSL encryption.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — for authentication
  • AI Processing — for image analysis and recipe generation
  • Supabase — for database and authentication infrastructure
  • Vercel — for hosting and analytics

Each of these services has their own privacy policies that govern their handling of your data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored in your account.
  • Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
  • Clear your local data (recipe history, preferences) at any time through the app settings or browser settings.
  • Opt out of analytics by using a browser ad-blocker or Do Not Track setting.

SnapDish is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
